Key Responsibilities
- Lead on-site setup of rental items with a strong focus on design, styling and attention to detail
- Ensure all rentals are placed intentionally, aligned with layouts, timelines and design plans
- Direct and support the setup and teardown team on event days
- Act as the point person for setup-related questions and adjustments on-site
- Oversee teardown at the end of events, ensuring rentals are handled with care
- Pack, organize, and prepare inventory so it is clean, secure and ready for the delivery team
- Communicate clearly with the delivery team regarding packed items, notes and any issues
- Identify and report any damage or concerns with inventory
- Maintain a calm, organized workflow during fast-paced event days
- Support continuous improvement of setup and teardown processes
Role Overview
- Strong attention to detail and an eye for design and styling
- Previous experience in events, rentals or on-site team leadership preferred
- Comfortable leading a small team and giving clear direction
- Physically capable of lifting and moving rental inventory
- Organized, proactive and solution-oriented
- Calm and professional under pressure
- Excellent communication skills and a team-first mindset
Schedule & Season
- Seasonal position (spring through fall), with the opportunity for additional work in the off-season
- Primarily weekend-based shifts, with occasional weekday work depending on event schedule
- Availability for late-night teardowns within the city and surrounding area, with an increased hourly rate
We’re seeking a Seasonal Design, Setup & Teardown Lead to oversee the on-site execution of rental setups and teardowns throughout the wedding season. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone with a strong eye for detail, a calm presence on event days and the ability to take ownership of setup quality and efficient teardown.
In this role, you’ll lead the setup and teardown team, ensure rentals are styled exactly as planned and oversee the breakdown and packing of inventory so it’s fully prepped and ready for the delivery team.
